Ellen A. Miller

died Saturday December 12 at Saint Joseph Nursing Care Center, Dorchester. She was 84 years old.

Born in Fogo, Newfoundland, she came to the United States in 1945 and settled in the Fields Corner section of Dorchester.

She was employed at several businesses in the Boston area including the commissary at the Waldorf Restaurant in Boston, the Farmerettes Restaurant in Fields Corner, Old Mr. Boston Liquour Business, Boston and the tie factory on Mapes Street in Dorchester.

Fiancé of the late Brendan M. Daley. Cousin of Ruth Miller of Dorchester and her late husband Francis Miller, Sandra Pasquale and Francis Miller, Jr., both of South Weymouth and Mary Ellen McHale of Dorchester. Sister of Mary Magdalene Brien of Newfoundland and the late Marcella Peddle and Gertrude Delaney. Ellen is also survived by several nieces and nephews in Canada.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Ambrose Church, Dorchester, Wednesday December 16 at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Tuesday 4-8 PM. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery.
