Evo J. Sacchetti

Evo J. Sacchetti, 93, passed away February 23, 2011 in the Caritas Christi Norwood Hospital. Evo was born and raised in Quincy, MA and was a graduate of Quincy High. Upon graduation, Evo  became a golf professional and was an Assistant pro at a local club. In 1941, Evo entered the US Army and served during WW II.

After his discharge from the Army, Evo married his late wife Ethelynn (Riley) Sacchetti.  In the early 1950’s, they settled in Milton. Evo was the manager at the Furnace  Brook Golf Course until 1974. Evo and his wife became founders of Lynn’s Hallmark Cards and Lynn’s Clock and Furniture with stores in Quincy, Weymouth, Somerville and Kingston.

Besides his late wife, Evo leaves 3 sons: Kenneth of Milton, Ronald of Abington and Wayne of Walpole and two sisters, Olga and Amelia. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass  of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church Milton, Saturday at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours from the Dolan Funeral Home 460 Granite Ave, MILTON, on Friday 4-8 PM. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery.
