It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Amrell Johnson, 94, also known as “Mom”, “Mama”, “Mother”. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026 in Massachusetts.

Amrell was born in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, West Indies to the late Boodoo and Mable Joseph.

Amrell is survived by her children Venus “Ann”, Heather “Shirley”, Jennifer, Debra, Karen, and stepsons Steve and Curtis. She also leaves behind 36 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by her loving husband Stephen Baptiste; her parents Boodoo and Mable Joseph; her siblings Roland, Hurbert, Sam, Rudolph, Sylvan, Jewel; and her sons Alphonso “Junior” and Cecil “Tex”.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 12, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in Concord Baptist Church, 180 Blue Hill Ave., Milton. Funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Private cremation will follow.
