He was the fourth of eight children and was affectionately known to many as “Clarkie.” Andrew was a man whose presence could always be felt and whose joyful spirit brought warmth and laughter wherever he went.
Andrew proudly served as a Special Reserve Police Officer in the field of mechanics, reflecting his strong sense of duty and service. Alongside his work in law enforcement, he pursued one of his greatest passions, working on cars, a craft he loved so deeply and took immense pride in. Andrew was hardworking, charismatic, and truly the heart of every gathering. A gifted storyteller, he had a remarkable ability to captivate those around him with humor, wisdom, and unforgettable stories. He loved deep-sea fishing, music, dancing, and he was gifted with the ability to restore anything that his hands touched. Andrew was known to never pass up the chance to attend a good fête. He was known to be the first person on the dance floor. During carnival season, you could find him representing at the carnivals in Trinidad, in Toronto or in New York City. Andrew’s energy was unmistakable; you could always hear him coming down the street in his truck, proudly adorned with multiple Trini flags, spreading celebration and joy wherever he went.
Andrew was blessed with three children: Natalie, Clint, and Tamara. He shared a loving and devoted marriage with his beloved wife, Claudette (McSween) Thomas. In addition to his devoted wife, Claudette, he leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Natalie Thomas of Trinidad; his son Clint Thomas and daughter-in-law Monica Thomas of Stoughton; and his daughter Tamara Licorish and son-in-law Dwane Licorish of West Bridgewater. He is also survived by his siblings Spencer, Annette, Clifton, and Marva, as well as his five cherished grandchildren: Jaiden, Jacob, Jordyn, Jeremiah, and Jada. Andrew also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.
