It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Annulus Gabriel Menard, who departed this life on May 22, 2025, at the age of 90.

Born July 1st, 1934, in Limonade, Haiti, to Francois Menard and Francesca Monpoint, Gabriel worked as a schoolteacher and administrator there until September of 1978 when he immigrated to the US. Upon arriving to Boston, he went back to school and made a career change to engineering. After graduation, he worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer for Compugraphics/Agfa/Bayer until his retirement in July of 2000.

When he wasn’t working, Gabriel loved to work on projects around the house. Remodeling bathrooms, finishing basements, building cabinet storage, a new shed in the backyard etc. Most of his spare time in retirement was spent cheering for the local Boston sports teams and working on projects at his children and friends’ house.

Gabriel was preceded in death by Marie Eva Menard, his wife of 60 years, who passed away in March 2019. He was also predeceased by siblings Milius Lamour, Franck Lamour, Louise Marie Menard, Chavannes Menard, and Dessalines Menard. He is survived by his 7 children (Carl, Frantz, Jean, Ronald, Ricardo, Handy and Ketlourdes), his 16 grandchildren (Guerline, Philippe, Evans, Derrick, Alyssa, Randall, Bryce, Phylisha, Gregory, Dominique, Antonio, Alexander, Aditi, Ryan, Skylar, Riley), 5 great grandchildren (Domari Murray, Isabelle Menard, Mya Menard, Damien Menard, Kairi Menard) and his living siblings (Liette Menard, Joseph Menard).

Visiting Hours, Friday, June 27, 2025, in the Dolan Funeral Home 1140 Washington St, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, MA 02124, 6:00 to 8:00PM

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated, Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish (formerly St Angela), 1548 Blue Hill Ave, Mattapan, MA 02126, 10 o’clock.

Interment Fairview Cemetery, 45 Fairview Ave, Hyde Park, MA 02136.
