Obituary for Ari Davis

Ari Davis passed away on February 21, 2023.

On a warm Monday, June 8th, 1992, in Boston, MA, Arnita and Richard Davis proudly welcomed their daughter Ari Riniqua Vernae Davis into the world. Ari was beautiful with deep dimples, light brown, soft curly hair, and long eyelashes. It was love at first sight for Ari’s parents, six older siblings, grandparents, great-grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins who were overjoyed with the sweet baby girl. Even as a toddler, Ari was an affectionate little girl. She gave the warmest hugs. She lost her front teeth at three and was known for flashing the most gorgeous toothless smile charming everyone who had the pleasure to witness it. Ari was intelligent and had a mastery of language early. She was confident and made friends easily at school. Ari was educated in the Boston Public School District attending the Jackson-Mann, Holland, Timilty Middle School, and English High School. She was a student who made a strong impression and was always well-known to classmates and teachers. She had a flair for writing with a boundless imagination. Ari began her love affair with music at a young age and it would be a special source of joy throughout her life. Ari’s deepest commitment was to her large Family. She savored holiday gatherings, enjoying her Mom’s cooking, connecting with relatives, and celebrating life. Ari was the mother to three loving children. On February 21st, 2023, the sun set on Ari’s life. She is beloved by a host of family members: Richard Davis, (late) Arnita Davis, Milo Davis, Dakari Davis, Amelia Davis, Latoyia Edwards, Jesse Edwards, Nina Edwards, Eli Edwards, Colisha Paul, Tori Paul, Thebeau Paul, Henry Foster, Nathaniel Foster, Arnita Hughes, David Hughes, Necia Hughes, Bailee Hughes, Ava Hughes, Ivy Hughes, William DeJesus, Riva Davis, Thelbert Foster Jr., Thelbert Boggs, Aaliyah Foster, Justice Foster, Elbert Foster, Sophia Foster, Mercedes Foster, Rufus Foster, (late) Adell Foster, Vernell Foster, Dante Foster, Analise Gordon, Desi Foster, Jarid Wigfall, (late) Richard Ivan Davis, (late) Frances Davis, (late) Vivian Dickerson, Robert Canzater, (late) Vernell Foster-Jones, (late) Thelbert Foster Sr. (late) Vincent Jones.
