Obituary for Dolan M. Reid
Dolan Mecheal Reid Sr. born on September 5, 1966, in Tela, Honduras, was lovingly called to his eternal home on November 19, 2025, in Boston, Massachusetts. Preceded in death by his brother Robert Reid Sr.
Dolan was a proud graduate of Dorchester High School, Class of 1991. Shortly after graduation, he began his career at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, where he dedicated more than a decade of service. He later continued his professional journey at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault Law Firm, contributing nearly another decade of hard work and commitment. Dolan concluded his career at the Cooley Law Firm, where he once again devoted close to a decade of excellence, leaving a lasting impression on all who worked alongside him.
A man whose life was filled with laughter, energy, and an unwavering love for adventure and family, Dolan had a personality that naturally drew people in. His warm spirit, vibrant presence, and ability to connect with others made him a born leader and a joy to be around.
Dolan was a passionate sports fan. Basketball was his greatest love, and he proudly cheered on his beloved Boston Celtics—old and new—up until his final days. He was also a devoted supporter of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox, always representing his home teams with pride.
His love for music was equally profound. As a DJ, Dolan could light up any room, sharing his appreciation for Rap, R&B, Rock, Merengue, and Salsa. Music was his language, his escape, and one of the gifts he shared generously with those around him.
Above all, Dolan’s greatest joy and purpose in life came from his family. His children were the center of his world, and his love for them was limitless.
Dolan leaves behind his devoted wife, Elaine Jackson -Reid; his children: London Reid, Dolan Reid Jr., Alandra Champion, Alexandria Israel, Ajanne Reid, Sophia Reid, Elaina Reid, and Elijah Reid; and his stepchildren: Jarryle, Antione, Jasmine, Evander, Anthony, and Keyana. He was survived by his mother, Coyhrial Reid and his sister Lorlean Guzman; seven cherished grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
Dolan’s vibrant spirit and boundless love will continue to live on through the many lives he touched. May he rest in eternal peace.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6 from 12-1 PM at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS. Funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited.
