Francis N. "Frank" Maher, 97, of North Falmouth, formerly of Milton and Quincy, a retired marketing manager, died Wednesday June 10, 2026.
Frank was born in Boston and raised in Brighton. He graduated from Suffolk University and Boston College Graduate School of Management. He was a Marketing Manager for Honeywell Bull Information Systems Inc. and previously worked in managerial positions at Northrop Nortronics of Norwood and Chase and Sons of Randolph. After his retirement in 1988, he was a longtime Funeral Associate at Dolan Funeral Home assisting families at their time of need.
Frank was a veteran of the Korean War. He served in the United States Air Force Air Weather Station in Alaska and Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA. He became a Weather Spotter for WHDH Channel 7 News in Boston and a Sky Warn Spotter for the National Weather Service in Taunton.
Frank was a 37-year resident of Milton, moved to Quincy in 1996, and finally to Cape Cod in 2021. He was involved in many of Saint Agatha Parish Ministries in Milton. He was Past President of the Holy Name Society, a Bingo worker and a Eucharistic Minister at the church and at Milton Hospital. He later ran a senior's group for St. Mary Church in West Quincy, organizing day trips all around the New England area.
Beloved husband of the late Geraldine (Cochran) Maher. Loving father of Garret C. Maher and his wife Patricia of Weymouth, Annemarie Schmidt and her husband Ian of Mashpee, and Lydia Maher of Quincy, wife of his late son, Keith R. Maher. He is survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Frank was predeceased by his siblings John Maher, James Maher, Phyllis Sheehan and Barbara McGillicuddy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Divine Mercy Parish, Saint Mary Church, 115 Crescent Street, West Quincy, Thursday June 25 at 11:00AM. Family and friends are invited. A visiting hour will be held prior to the Mass at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE from 9:30-10:30AM. Interment at Milton Cemetery will immediately follow the Mass.
