Obituary for Gerard Gabriel Jean-Leger
Dr. Gabriel Jean-Leger, born on October 18, 1945, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, at the age of 79. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Mireille Olivier Jean-Leger, and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A man of wisdom, compassion, and unwavering integrity, Dr. Gabriel dedicated his life to his family, his community, and his faith. He taught his children the values of hard work, kindness, and perseverance lessons that continue to guide them and future generations.
Dr. Gabriel was very involved in his community, having established his own medical clinic in Jacmel, Haiti, where he served countless patients with care and dedication. His compassion for others and his commitment to improving lives made him a beloved figure in both his hometown of Jacmel and beyond.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Dr. Gabriel will remember his calm demeanor, his love of politics, his generosity of spirit, and his deep commitment to uplifting others. He believed in education, service, and love as the cornerstones of a meaningful life.
Dr. Gabriel Jean-Leger is survived by his loving children, Gerard Jean-Leger and his wife Marie Ertha Jean-Leger, Natacha Noailles and her husband Claude E. Noailles, and Nagatna Joseph; his cherished grandchildren, Gerard Jean-Leger III, Ayanna Joseph, Claude Noailles Jr., Nelchael Jean-Leger, Isabelle Noailles, Talisa Jean-Leger, Nyimma Joseph, and Malcolm Jean-Leger; and his great-grandchild, Josiah “Jojo”. He also leaves behind his special niece, Ketly Jean-Pierre, along with a host of beloved family and dear friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
May his soul rest in eternal peace beside his beloved wife, Mireille. His memory will remain a beacon of love and strength for generations to come.
Visitation will be held at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Saturday, October 11th from 8:00AM-9:30AM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Mary Church, 211 N. Main Street, Randolph at 10:00AM. Interment at Central Cemetery.
