Obituary for Glenda Judith Ruiz
With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Glenda Judith Ruiz, who entered eternal rest on January 15, 2026, after a courageous battle with stage 4 lung cancer. She was born in Guatemala and later made her way to the United States in her late teens, where she built a life defined by strength, independence, and unwavering love for her family.
A hardworking and compassionate woman, Glenda dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She worked as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) and was actively pursuing her education to become a Nurse Assistant, a dream rooted in her desire to help those in need. Although her diagnosis in March 2024 forced her to pause these plans, her heart for service never wavered.
A few months after her diagnosis, Glenda was baptized and gave her life to God, finding peace and strength in her faith. She faced her illness with remarkable courage, grace, and trust in the Lord.
She was a loving and devoted mother, a proud and joyful grandmother, and a woman who embraced life fully. Among her greatest accomplishments were becoming a United States citizen, traveling, and truly living her life to the fullest despite life’s hardships.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jose Alberto Feliz, who passed away in November 2024 at the age of 28—a loss that forever marked her heart.
She leaves behind her loving children, Sheyla (30) and Imberlyn (24) her son-in-law Alex, whom she lovingly considered as a son and her cherished grandchildren, Isaiah and Karina, who brought her endless joy. She also leaves behind extended family and friends who will forever remember her strength, kindness, and loving spirit.
Though she is no longer physically with us, her legacy lives on through the lives she touched, the love she gave so freely, and the faith she carried until the end. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
