Obituary for Holly Lamy

Holly Lamy, age 79, of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday evening, April 15, 2024. He was born on July 26, 1944, to Deonvil Lamy and Brunette Normil in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

In the 1980s, Holly moved from Haiti to Boston, MA to create new beginnings and enhance opportunities for his family. He worked tirelessly as an Auto Electrician and remained dedicated to using his skills and talents to provide for and support his loved ones. Holly was intelligent and well-known for his great sense of humor. He worked hard and remained steadfast in raising his children. In his spare time, he enjoyed (watching history on TV, listening to Haitian news and music and spending quality time with friends and family.

Holly is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Monique (Nazaire) Lamy; along with six children; Laurie Lamy, Regine Lamy-Steele and her husband Joshua Steele, Sammy Lamy, Harry Lamy, and Myrtho Mezil; (9) grandchildren: Rashad Mezil, Mya Louis, Malik Louis, Briana Cook, Dakeem Galloway, Joshua Steele Jr., Serena Pierre- Louis, Reya Steele and Layla Pierre-Louis; and two great-grandchildren, Skylah Louis and Ezekial Louis. He also leaves behind his younger sister Elza St. Jean and many caring nieces and nephews. His wife, children, extended family, and all those he loved will cherish his memory forever. May he continue to rest peacefully.

Viewing to take place on Saturday, April 27th from 9-10 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Saint Angela Church; 1540 Blue Hill Avenue, Mattapan. A Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 AM. Interment at Fairview Cemetery.
