Obituary for Jacques Andre' Jean-Louis
Jacques "Jack" André Jean-Louis, son of Caridad Jean-Louis and the late André Yvon Jean-Louis, was born on July 7, 1968, in Hinche, Haiti, and departed this life on May 8, 2025. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in remembering his incredible life and the love he so freely gave.
Jack received his primary education at St. Matthew's Catholic School in Dorchester, MA, and later attended public high school, where he received his secondary education at Hyde Park High in Hyde Park, MA.
By trade, Jack was a Local 7 Union Iron Worker for over 30 years—a dedicated craftsman who spent his life shaping the city's skyline, one beam at a time. As a proud iron worker, he not only carried tools but also a big heart for the trade and the brotherhood. To those who knew him, he was more than a worker; he was a friend and cornerstone of every crew he worked with.
We honor his father, André Yvon Jean-Louis, who passed before him and no doubt welcomed him with open arms.
Jack leaves to cherish his memory, life, and legacy a family who loved him deeply and countless friends whose lives he touched. Jack is survived by his beloved mother, Caridad Jean-Louis; his devoted and steadfast daughter, Jonette Alisa Jean-Louis; and his son, Anthony Jerome Vaughn, who never left his side. He also leaves his loving life partner and fiancée, Ana Rodriguez.
Jack is also survived by his younger brothers, Clark Jean-Louis (Peggy), Georgy Jean-Louis (Ozzietta), and Ferrier Jean-Louis; his nieces Jessica Jean-Louis and Jemini Jean-Louis; nephews Tyrique Dallis Jean-Louis Sr., Antonio Jean-Louis, and Aiden Jean-Louis; great-nephews Tyrique Dallis Jean-Louis Jr., Tre'Vaughn Jean-Louis, and Jayce Jean-Louis; great-niece Parker Jean-Louis; and great-niece and god-daughter Maylani Jean-Louis; and a large extended family of cousins and lifelong friends. Each carries a piece of his humor, wisdom, and heart.
Visitation will be held at the Morning Star Baptist Church, 1257 Blue Hill Avenue, MATTAPAN on Tuesday, May 20th from 10-11AM. Funeral Service to begin at 11AM. Interment at Forest Hills Cemetery. Relatives and friends invited.
