Obituary for Jason Rodriguez

With deep love, we announce the passing of Jason Rodriguez, 42, a devoted husband, father, brother, and son. Jason passed away on Friday, May 29th, 2026, in Lincoln MA. Jason was born on Wednesday, February 29th, 1984 in Manhattan New York.

As a teenager, he enjoyed playing basketball, practicing karate, and trips to the movies with his childhood friends. He later attended college before embarking on a career in banking, where he worked for more than twenty years.

Jason got married on May 19th, 2007, and devoted his life to his family, his Catholic faith, and his community. He taught his children to love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, to trust in God's providence, and to live lives of prayer, charity, and faithful service to others.

Jason loved and respected his mother throughout his life, faithfully living the Catholic call to honor one's parents. He passed this virtue on to his children, teaching them to love and respect their mother and to see in her the selfless love, sacrifice, and dignity that reflect God's grace within the family.

His favorite pass-times was reading and spending quiet time with the Lord in prayer. In his final moments, he encouraged us to live selflessly and extend a helping hand to those in need.

Jason is survived by his beloved wife, Luz Rodriguez; his children, Emmanuel, Ishmael, Nathanael, Isabel, and Gabriel Rodriguez; his mother, Lidia Batista; and his father, Rafael J. Rodriguez. He is also survived by his brothers, Rafael, Nicholas, Raul, and Chad Rodriguez, as well as his sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, and many cherished nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Visiting Hours will be held in Saint Mark Church, 1725 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester on Wednesday, June 3rd from 5-8PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Mark Church on June 4th at 10AM. Interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

My prayers and love are with the beautiful Rodriguez family whom I had the pleasure of knowing through the blessing of teaching their two oldest children and working with Luz. May you find comfort in knowing you are held up in prayer by so many. May your heartfelt memories be an eternal blessing to you all. This father modeled well to his children how a mother should be loved.
