Pamela Bernidette Freeman was bornin Toledo, Ohio on September 2,1945 to the late Helen Evans. She was raised by her grandmother Eunice Evans in Knoxville, TN. She graduated from Austin High School located in Knoxville on June 5,1963. She did attend Knoxville College in the fall of the same year. After her first year of College Pamela took a job as an au pair (nanny) to a family in Cape Cod, MA, where she met the love of her life Herbert Freeman. After their summer whirlwind before she went back to school Herbert proposed. They were married the same year and lived in Boston MA.

Pamela loved to travel and go on cruises. Herbert surprised her with her first cruise in 1985. He did not tell her where they were flying and when they boarded the boat he bought all her vacation clothes. She loved to work in the yard and would also help her neighbors with their yards. She loved DIY projects and would build stairs, picnic tables and paint and refinish furniture. There is nothing Pamela felt like she could not do. She knew how to sew, cook and decorate.

Pamela lived on West Selden Street in Mattapan, MA where she met friends and loved ones. The neighborhood was a close community where everyone looked after each other. She worked and retired from Gillette where she met more friends and loved ones. Pamela and Herbert loved going out dancing and would go to the Carver Den. She loved spending time with her grandchildren Aajia and Tristyn by picking them both up from school.

Pamela succumbed to her illness on March 28, 2024. She joins her husband Herbert Freeman, her mother, her grandmother and her sister Lynn Locke. She leaves to mourn her daughters Helena Freeman, Tina Ward; sons Herbert Freeman and Hassan Freeman. Grandchildren, Aajia, Tristyn, Shacoya, Latoya and Jr.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2024 in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, at 11 o'clock. Visiting Hour 10 - 11 am. Interment Oak Lawn Cemetery.
