Obituary for Paul W. Halls

Paul W. Halls was born on June 9th 1941 to Henrietta and Joseph Halls in Tableland, Trinidad and Tobago. As a young child he encountered many challenges, but none tougher than the passing of his mother at the age of 10. Paul and his siblings were cared for by a host of aunts and uncles throughout his childhood and at this early age he understood the responsibilities he would need to take on to be a role model and father figure to his younger siblings. It was the ability to overcome the many challenges as a youth that would propel him to the man he would become

As he continued to progress, he learned the mechanic trade and soon after got a job with Neal and Massy as a diesel mechanic. He worked there for several years before migrating to the United States.

On May 16th 1970 Paul married his life partner Phyllis and soon after they moved to the US to begin their life together and raise two children together in Boston MA. Paul began his career as a mechanic with United Parcel Service (UPS) and would work 34 years for them until he retired in 2004 to begin his 2nd career, taking care of his grandkids

Paul loved to garden, fix cars in the driveway, converse with family and friends and every now and again he would put on his comedic hat to tell a joke or two. Travelling to Canada and Trinidad with the family were times he cherished as it allowed him to see more family and many longtime friends

Although we all knew his serious side, Paul will be remembered as a kind hearted soul who was thoughtful of others around him. He loved his wife of 54 years unconditionally and loved his children and grandchildren. May God grant him peace now that his journey on earth has ended. We will keep all of the memories inside our hearts and minds and although letting go is sad, we will never forget you and your legacy in this family will continue
