Obituary for Richard J. "Ben" Casey

Richard J. “Ben” Casey, 71, a lifelong resident of Milton passed away May 3, 2025.

A familiar face around town, Richard served as the Senior Foreman for the Milton Public Works Department. Another chapter of his life was once as a bus driver for the MBTA, where he met his beloved wife, Kimberly. Their serendipitous meeting blossomed into a wonderful marriage of 30 years. He was a deep family man and friend. He approached his work with integrity and a sense of duty that made a lasting impact on those around him. He will be remembered for his warm smile and his willingness to lend a helping hand.

Beloved husband of the late Kimberly (Nash) Casey. Richard was also predeceased by his parents James and Margaret (Leary) Casey and his sister Jean. He is survived by his dearest friends, godson and fur babies Georgia and Bella, who brought endless joy to his life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Visitation Parish, Saint Elizabeth Church, 350 Reedsdale Road, Milton, Friday May 9 at 10:00 AM. Family and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Thursday May 8 from 4-8 PM. Interment Milton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s memory may be made to the Milton Animal League, 181 Governor Stoughton Lane, Milton, MA 02186
