Obituary for Sadie Mae Jackson

Sadie Mae Jackson was born in Library, Pennsylvania on November 18, 1926 and called to eternal rest on May 20, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of the late Hattie Mae Jacobs and the late William.

Sadie was a woman who didn’t mind working! Even before her marriage she knew how to find jobs; and was never afraid of hard work. At the age of fourteen she was able to convince the bosses at “Raytheon” to give her a job during the summer. For eight years she became known as a dependable, hard-working employee who reached her quota everyday! She went on to work at John Hancock for many years. Sadie also graced the educational system as a substitute teacher helping many students. She was a young lady that everyone she worked with loved.

Sadie has a wide list of accomplishments and has become our cherished fixture in the city of Boston, all while raising seven children as a single parent. She is known as a classy, highly-respected, hard-working woman who has been a positive example for her children and many others.

Sadie is survived by her son, Arthur Jackson, Jr. and four daughters, Valerie Ralph, Sydell A. Jackson, Nedra Jackson and Doris Suttles as well as a host of grand-children, great grand-children and a great great grandson.

Visitation will be held at the United Emmanuel Holiness Church, 65 Windsor Street, ROXBURY CROSSING on Tuesday, May 26th from 10-11AM. Funeral Service to begin at 11AM. Interment at Forest Hills Cemetery. Relatives and friends invited.
