Michael Patrick Mahon September 8, 1965 - March 6, 2021

Michael Patrick Mahon, loving husband, son, brother and uncle of 4 passed peacefully at home on March 6, 2021, at age 55 surrounded by his beloved wife, Dina, and family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Quincy and graduated from Quincy High School and the Wentworth Institute of Technology.  For more than 25 years, he was a project manager and designer at City Point Fire Protection.

Michael had a contagious passion for life unequaled by others and lived his life to the fullest. He shared his rich mix of compassion, humor, sense of adventure, curiosity, positive and fun-loving attitude with his family, friends and anyone he met along the way, influencing them with his smile and irresistible laughter-leaving us all a little better for having known him. His zest for adventure led him to travel extensively; exploring Boston harbor and points beyond on his speed boat, racing cars, mountain biking, skiing, hiking, white water rafting and jam sessions on his drums.  He cherished family events-Thanksgiving, Humarock beach vacations and the annual cousins ski weekend, always first to organize the next outing with friends and family.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Dina Mahon, his mother, Helen Mahon and predeceased by his father, Paul Mahon. He is also survived by his brother Brian Mahon and wife Karen and their children Paul and Julia; sister Kelly Mahon and her son Ryan Louis and his wife Hannah and their son Oliver; his mother-in-law Geri Radzewsky; brother-in-law Craig Radzewsky; and sister-in-law Jodi Wagner and her daughter Ava;  as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and  hundreds of people he has touched along the way.

Dear Mike, Rest In Peace my friend. We met in 1991 when I relocated to New England. We traveled to Viking in MI together with a great group of fire protection professionals like Jeff and Paul, who still has watch over you today. I will miss your smile and gentle way. Professionally, you made our industry better. You made us all better Mike. God bless you brother.

I am keeping Michael and the family in my thoughts and prayers. My mom, Rita and Michael’s mom, Helen were deep friends, and growing up, we were part of an “extended” family that occasionally gathered and always shared love, support, and warmth. I will always remember precious ski gatherings and beach gatherings with Michael and the family. I and the rest of the Duane’s wish everyone condolences and blessings. Peace, David Duane

I remember Mike as a recent HS graduate back around 1984 and spending time in the same industry for all of these years it was always a pleasure running into Mike. His smile was awesome and his spirit lifted you up . It was so obvious he was a sincere and honest man , who truly cared about people . I am sure he is with our Lord and Savior .Prayers and blessings to his family and friends.

What a great guy! We feel fortunate for the opportunity to have had some great times with Mike and Dina. Mike, a great guy, personality, easy to hold a conversation with and what I’ll remember most is – the complete pleasure to have been together from time to time and ramble on with about nothing over a beer or two but leaving the conversation with that pleasant feeling of “looking forward to shooting the breeze with that him again” feeling. Dina our sincerest condolences go out to you and your family. We feel fortunate to have know Mike and only wish we had more time.
